It was this time of season again! The newest it-pieces for the upcoming fashion season were presented at New York and Milan Fashion week, which took place from 09/04/2014 until 09/11/2014 as well as 09/17/14 until 09/23/14. Estenza will walk you through the hottest catwalk shows in New York and Milan focus on our favorite shows each day:
Let’s start with the first day. On 4th September the designers Rachel Comey, Gareth Pugh, Marissa Webb, Louise Amstrup, Tome, Costello Tagliapietra, Honor, Tadashi Shoji, Creatures of the Wind, Coach, Richard Chai Love, Max Azria, Visvom, Tomas Maier, Creatures of Comfort and Nicholas K showed their new collection.
Thomas Maier caught our eye! The designer relies on all kinds of blue and light shades. Palm tree prints made us dream for the next summer.
The second day was a day full of up-and-coming designers: Kate Spade, Lyn Devon, Wes Gordon, Chris Gelinas, Peter Som, Antonio Azzuolo, Siki Im, Suno Charlotte, Ronson, Monique Lhuillier, Nicole Miller, A Detacher, Rodebjer, Nonoo, L.A.M.B, Adam Selman, Araks, Trins Turk, Cushnie Et Ochs, Rebecca Minkoff, Sally Lapointe, Jason Wu, Zimmermann, Tanya Taylor and Tess Giberson.
Zimmermann presented extravagant dresses in white, blue and apricot colors at his show. Accents were set with metallic highlights and exceptional styles.
After two successful days, Altuzarra, Zoe Jordan, Jonathan Simkhai, Parson, Alexander Wang, Christian Siriano, Max Azria with Herve Leger and Baja East were next on the tight schedule of NYFW. But these designers were not the only ones. Furthermore Tibi, Ralph Rucci, Mara Hoffman, Ostwald Helgason, Rebecca Taylor, Prabal Gurung, Jill Stuart, Dion Lee, Adam Lippes and Lacoste had their turn.
On this day Lacoste convinced us with their sportive and clean collection. Geometric patterns in different colors like orange, red, blue and yellow were placed artfully on sporty yet elegant dresses and shirts.
It’s halftime! Versace, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon with Opening Ceremony, Nanette Lepore, Vivienne Tam, Edun, Diane von Furstenberg, Tim Coopens, Custo Barcelona, Negarin, Thakoon, Yigal Azrouel, Porsche Design, Tracy Reese, Guiliette, DKNY, Brandon Sun, Hood by Air, Public School and Victoria Beckham showed their definition of trends for the upcoming season.
Estenzas favorite on this day was the summery pieces by Diane von Fuerstenberg. Powerful tones like green, yellow, pink and blue were mixed with check and feminine flower prints.
Rosetta Getty, The Row, Co, Lela Rose, Polo Ralph Lauren, Rag & Bone, Libertine, Veronica Beard, Maison Kitsune, Zac Posen, Reem Acra, Zero + Maria Cornejo, Thom Browne, Alice + Olivia as well as Donna Karan, Barbara Tfank, 3.1 Philip Lim, Karen Walker, Yeohlee, Milly, Dennis Basso, Rosie Asoulin, Ohne Titel, Tommy Hilfiger and Carolina Herrera were in the spotlight on Monday.
Zac Posens glamorous dresses were like every season an eye catcher. Red, black and white were the used colors. Posens proved with his classy designs again that he is definitely right at NYFW. Gold and silver jewelry by Estenza will make the glamorous look complete. The perfect ring for a trendy and elegant appearance can you find here: http://bit.ly/Estenza-rings
Some stunning shows waited on the 6th day of NYFW for us. Narciso Rodriguez, ICB, Oscar de la Renta, Elie Tahari, Sophie Theallet, Marc by Marc Jacobs, 6397, Pamella Roland, Wendy Nichol, Cynthia Rowley, Naeem Khan made us dream. Jenny Packham, Diesel Black Gold, Rodarte, Vera Wang, Timo Weiland, MM6 by Maison Martin Margiela, Badgley Mischka, Tory Burch and J.Crew had their shows as well.
Estenza pieces can be perfectly combined to Oscar de la Rentas newest treasures. His elegant and feminine design are suitable for fashionistas and fashion-princesses.
On the second last day Proenza Shouler, Erin Fetherston, Anna Sui, Osklen, Reed Krakoff, Betsey Johnson, Elizaneth & James, Hugo Boss, Jeremy Scott, Delpozo, Bibhu Mohapatry, John Patric with Organic, Rachel Zoe, Michael Kors and Trademark let their models walk over the runway.
At the Michael Kors show, which is still on our mind, there were bursts of sunshine yellow throughout for sequin-strewn skirts and when it wasn’t, it was punches of navy, magenta blooms, sailor stripes or gentle neutrals. Ah, summer come back already.
Sad, but true. The last day of NYFW took place. Marc Jacobs, Juan Carlos Obando, Calvin Klein, J. Mendel, Chloe Sevigny x Opening Ceremony and Ralph Lauren were the last ones.
The Marc Jacobs show didn’t look much like a spring/summerbut the glitter-strapped sliders will no doubt be on everyone’s wish list any day now.
Another highlight in the fashion calendar is certainly Milan Fashion Week. Stunning couture was shown and we don’t want to hide these new-season it-pieces from you!
Especially three shows were breathtaking in our view and made quite an impression: Dolce & Gabbana, Moschino and Versace.
The Fashion week circus isn’t over. This is what you could think, when you have visited the fashion show of Dolce & Gabbana. The main colors of the show: Powerful red, black and white – this is so Dolce! Lace was combined in different ways – all over dresses or as a highlight on some pieces. The mix with golden accents let the models sparkle. Flower and polka dot prints were used on flamenco skirts and dresses. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana did a great job with this collection and we can’t wait to combine Estenza jewelry to their designs.
“I’m a Barbie girl, in a Barbie world” – this was the motto of the Moschino fashion show. On every seat there was a Barbie doll and a model in exactly this outfit opened the fashion. As you can imagine the central color was pink. Fantastic handbags made from blow-up pool toys made the look perfect. Every girl’s child dream was coming true. We are sure, Jeremy Scott created another masterpiece for Moschino. Already after his debut with the McDonald’s collection for Moschino, he demonstrated that he is in the right place. You can find the upcoming trend-color pink in the Estenza product line. This pendant in the must-have color will be the perfect match for next season.
The last sensational show at the Milan Fashion Week that should be highlighted, is the show of the iconic designer Donatella Versace. Stripped back, bold, sexy and fresh, that´s Versace. The color-palette started with black and went over to red, pink, light blue, yellow and white tones. Studs and buckles gave the outfits an edgy look. Metallic Highlights and asymmetric patterns reinforced the new fresh and strong Versace image. “It is the way women wear Versace now, and in the future,” Donatella said.
